Editorial approach

Bold Stage Stories aims to make theatre-making easier to think about, without pretending that one article can settle every creative question. We explain what a piece sets out to do and make room for revision.

Accuracy and care

We check factual claims against suitable material before publication and distinguish explanation from opinion or creative suggestion. Articles should be specific enough to be useful and careful about uncertainty. We do not claim first-hand testing where none has taken place.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions are made for the reader, not as a promise of favourable coverage. Paid or partner material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. A partnership does not guarantee an article, endorsement or particular conclusion.

Corrections and illustrations

If a factual error is identified, we review it and correct the text where appropriate. We welcome clear messages explaining the passage and the proposed correction. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where relevant, they are identified, and they should not be mistaken for documentary images.
